Tour Credential
To help our tour hosts identify you as part of the Official Iowa/TL/DU Bowl Travel Program, we require you to wear your tour credential (name badge) for all official Music City Bowl program events and game day motorcoach transfers.
Credentials will be distributed at the hotel bowl travel desk.
Weather
At the end of December, the daily highs in Nashville run in the low-40s, while evening temperatures are typically in the low 30s. 
Game Tickets
If you purchased game tickets as part of the travel package, they will be available for pickup on Friday afternoon from the Tour Desk.

A ​Travel Leaders/Destinations Unlimited Bowl Travel Desk will be staffed at the Virgin Hotels Nashville during dedicated hours (see below) to provide information and assistance as needed. Here, you may pick up your tour credential and souvenir, at your convenience.​​

Baggage​
To ensure proper handling of your baggage, please follow the instructions below:

Make sure you have identification on your bags, complete with name, address, and cell phone number

Each passenger is allowed one (1) carry-on item and one (1) small, personal item, such as purse, briefcase, or laptop computer that must fit in the overhead bin or at their feet. Additional bags may be transported underneath the coach.

All vital medications including insulin, pills, and other medicines must be in your carry-on or personal item.
Arrival in Nashville
Upon arriving at the hotel, claim your luggage from the motorcoach and then proceed to the Tour Hospitality Desk to receive your room key, tour credential, and souvenirs.
Hotel Land-Only Packages
Transportation to Nashville is not included in this travel package.

Upon hotel arrival, please proceed to the front desk for check-in and to receive your room key. Once you have checked-in, stop by the Iowa/TL/DU Bowl Travel Desk at your convenience to pick up your tour credential and souvenir.

If you arrive prior to hotel check-in time (4:00 pm), your room may not be ready. You may, however, check your bags with the bell staff until your room becomes available.

Incidental Account:
Room and tax have been pre-paid; however, you must present a major credit card upon check-in at the hotel to cover any incidental charges (ie. Room service, parking, etc.) incurred throughout your stay. Cheer on the Iowa Men’s & Women’s basketball teams against Big Ten opponents at alumni-owned Tin Roof. Stop by the welcome table to scan a QR code to receive Iowa swag items and bowl game lapel pins (while supplies last). This event is co-sponsored by the University of Iowa Center for Advancement and Bravo Sports Marketing.

Join Gary Dolphin and Ed Podolak -- the Voices of the Hawkeyes -- as they give their look into what and who to watch during the game.
Downtown Shuttle
12:30 pm - 7:00 pm

Shuttle service to/from Downtown Nashville. Last shuttle back to hotel is at 7:00 pm.
Hawkeye Huddle
4:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Location: Skydeck at Assembly Food Hall -- 5055 Broadway
​
Take our shuttle to downtown Nashville to check out the sights and attend the Hawkeye Huddle. Join your fellow Hawkeye fans and Herky the Hawk, the Iowa Spirit Squads, the Hawkeye Marching Band, and some special guests. Hawkeye Huddles are free of charge and include refreshments for purchase.

Swarm members traveling to Nashville are invited to attend a pre-game party. This event is free and open to all members and fans. No RSVP required.

Note: Anyone who plans on attending this event and riding over on the bus to the stadium, must be back to the hotel in time for the 9:30 am departure. All buses will depart as a group for transfer to stadium.

Celebrate the holiday with Emo Night Nashville and dance the night away with a 3-hour open bar and punk rock classics. Live Emo Cover Band Ft Julia Lauren of The Foxies, Manic, and friends. Commons Club Dinner & Dancing

It’s time to party like its 1999. Toast in 2023 with a 5-course dinner, live entertainment, dancing, and a champagne toast. All tables have a 2-hour time limit (4 pm, 6 pm, 8 pm). Report to the lobby with your luggage and board motorcoaches.  If you would like bell staff assistance, please call 1 hour before you want to leave your room or arrange it the night before. All participants must settle incidental charges directly with the hotel front desk before boarding the motorcoaches.
